1. Under normal use, eas RF system generally work stably for a long period of time, and system failures due to component failure are less. Most of the faults are caused by improper use, poor contact of the power socket, excessive fluctuation of the AC voltage, loose connection cable joints, interference from surrounding electrical equipment and certain radio waves, interference from wires, coils, metal frames, etc. Carefully analyze the cause of the failure and then exclude it one by one. Before the cause of the fault is found, the system settings and parameters cannot be changed arbitrarily, because the indicators are debugged in a better state at the factory, and in the absence of relevant instruments, the debugging is free, and the judgment and elimination of the fault is even more difficult.


2. When the system is not working properly, such as the detection sensitivity is reduced, no alarm or frequent false alarms, etc., generally should be checked according to the following steps:


(1) Check the power supply


a. When the system is not working properly, first check whether the system power is normal: whether the power indicator on the board is on; whether the printed circuit board fuse (F1) is intact; whether the input power supply voltage is correct (24VAC); whether the power supply wiring is open or shorted. Whether the external power adapter works normally; whether the power socket contact is secure; whether the input AC voltage fluctuates too much.


b. After troubleshooting the power supply, you can continue to check other system faults.


3. System detection sensitivity is reduced


Under normal circumstances, the detection sensitivity of the system is reduced due to component failure. Most of these faults are caused by interference between the system and mutual interference, detection of metal objects or electrical equipment near the antenna. For the detection of metal objects, electrical equipment, etc. near the antenna, measures should be taken to remove it and try to keep it away from the detection antenna system.


4. System does not alarm


If the alarm light does not flash when detecting the label, there is no alarm sound. First, whether the label frequency is the same as the transmission center frequency, check whether the alarm light and buzzer wiring are good, whether the alarm light and the buzzer itself are damaged. If not, check the indicator ALARM on the printed board. “Bright” indicates that the system has alarmed, but there is no alarm output. In this case, some circuit faults (component failure or damage) should be considered.


Note: When the environmental interference is very serious (the noise level indicator is fully lit), the system will not work properly.


5. System false alarm


For eas RF systems, it is permissible to accidentally generate false alarms due to interference from broadband sources such as certain radio waves or electrical switching sparks, and is not within the fault range of the system. However, frequent false alarms or even continuous self-sounding should be a serious fault. At this time, in addition to identifying and eliminating the strong interference sources, the system itself should be checked to eliminate the fault. The false alarm problem can also be solved by debugging methods such as modulating the frequency, synchronizing the signal, adjusting the sensitivity, and adjusting the scanning frequency offset.


Another common cause of false alarms in supermarket door alarm devices is the placement of the tag on the power cord. It is recommended to check for hard tags near the power adapter's power cord.
